How does one express gratitude to a friend who was instrumental in calming fears, building confidence and performing each task asked? My words will not be adequate, but I will try to tell you about a horse that meant so much to us. Texas, a grade quarter horse, was the horse everyone asked to ride. Why, you ask. If you were young and inexperienced he was patient and slow. He gave you plenty of time to mount and seemed to know to take things easy. If you were experienced he would go with the slightest urging and stop on a dime. He took everything in stride and seem to have a depth that you could see when you looked into his eyes. Even in the last days of his life when he was in much pain, his gentleness remained steadfast. He knew you were there trying to help him. We will miss Texas and grieve his loss here at Little Creek Horse Farm. Bill and Debbie |
